About Duut

Duut's mission is to make job hunting faster and stress free by making it easier to find necessary support.

Two ways Duut makes job hunting faster and stress free:

1. Making it easier to find and connect with professionals open to helping you: Duut makes it easier for volunteer-professionals to indicate the help they are willing to provide (referral, resume review, interview guidance etc.) and for people impacted by layoffs to easily find and contact them. Duut also makes it easier to find mock interview partners who are also looking for partners and are at a similar level (e.g., Principal Software Engineer) as you, so you are practicing with people that have similar skillset and experience as you.

2. Hosting learning sessions (group events) with industry experts: Duut hosts industry professionals (e.g., Sr. Director of Product, Immigration lawyer) to connect with a group of professionals looking for help, and answer any questions they may have. These sessions are a great way to connect with like-minded people and are a great way to get clarity on the questions that you, and others in similar situation, may have.

Why did I start Duut?

I was personally impacted by Meta’s layoffs and found it extremely difficult to get the help I needed, even though I was surrounded by thousands of professionals on LinkedIn who publicly claimed to be willing to help. Duut is an attempt to make it easy for people who need help to find people who are (truly) willing to help.
